B2D16FA7-AFE9-4990-87CF-460436F5A4E5.jpeg I bought this mini Canadian from seanC and the sheath was kinda loose. I could have fixed it, but i kind of liked it being easy to get in and out. So I came up with this little invention. It takes two hands of course but pocket carry usually does anyway so no problem. I really like this little blade btw. It keeps the knife in place until you pull the leather out of lanyard hole. Also helps pull the knife out of your pocket. Thought this might help somebody.

That's exactly what I ended up doing with my Bark River Fox River. Tried to do a number of other things short of re-sewing some different spots to tighten it up, but discovered that a simple length of leather thong (like you discovered) kept things in the sheath enough. They are nice sheaths, but I sure wish I could find someone to make a sheath that would be more secure (retention strap?) over the long haul.
