To anyone who has experience with the Lt Wright Outback or similar knives from Lt Wright - Do you prefer the saber grind or scandi for a general use camp knife? And why?

    -Thanks

I like a high saber with a very tiny secondary. Preferably 0.010" or less behind the edge.

I went with the sabre grind and prefer that for general camp use.

Unless you're only planning to cut wood, or string, I'd go saber. Its a great all around grind. I like LTs flat grind too, but get a saber about as often.

Saber, hands down. The bushcrafter mark II is my favorite all-purpose knife in the woods, 2nd down.

Mine is a saber grind which I prefer for general use from fire prep to field dressing game. If I need a scandi I use my Mora. Looks like you already have a saber grind Outback.

I love scandi grinds but on the Outback I went for the saber grind. It will lend itself better for general camp duty.
I prefer a narrower blade height on my scandi grinds.
Bring the Outback and a small mora and you'll be set.
One more thing; the handle on the Outback is great.

I bought them in each grind so I would not have to choose. Saber, Scandi and full flat.

Well you're not explaining each of them correctly. ;)
