New to bushcraft and this will be my first attempt at anything with leather. I re-purposed a worn out leather coat. I know it isn't completely natural with the lace being 550 cord but I am happy with it. Any comments or constructive criticism is welcome thanks in advance.

Looks great. I have never made one but it is on the winter agenda, so I am curious as to how long it took to make?

In all honesty it only took 25-30 mins no special tools or anything I had an old awl that was my dad's I made a mallet out of red oak cut a circle made the holes and then ran the 550 cord in and out. Toughest part was getting that little cinch thingy ( if that's a word) on the 550 cord.

So, I am gonna be "that guy" and remind people that self-made gear that isn't on a monthly project thread just goes in the self-made gear part, not the monthly projects sub-forum.

That aside, very nice work. I'm impressed :D

Nice looking piece of kit. I'm tagging this for inspiration for my first soon enough.

I'd say you should keep with the new hobby.

Great job, and not bad for your first time, either. Do have have any specific use planned for it? If so, do tell. :)
