Usually makers dont use full molar , they use small parts and ease the work , me being me small is not an option we go all in :) With a few words , this was by FAR the most difficult material to work with , BY FAR, I spent countless hours trying to grind it , you have to use new belts every 10 minutes (and I was using norton blaze belts which are known to be one of the best) you can't use anything coarser then 100 grit or it will chip , you have to be extra careful to not heat it or it will brake, I had to use special drill bits to drill the hole for the tang, I had to drill like 5mm at maximum at once and then let everything cool for 3-5 minutes, what more can I say it was one big pain in the A to work with , but the result was worth it for sure , it is just amazing to hold in hand , the has a feeling like no other material I had in my hands and the look.... the look you can tell is worth bag of gold, it doesnt need any spacers or decorations as the material is itself a decoration.
Rest as usual 80CrV2 steel , 59-60 HRC, mirror polished , comes with a top notch leather sheath , scandi style with decorations, burnished and covered with natural beeswax. Top notch fit and finish . Blade is of course tested , it doesnt only have the good look but can do anything this size blade should. Price is SOLD$ including first class shipping with tracking. last time I posted a molar handle knife it sold in 30 minutes , so take that in mind, I have this posted on other places and first one to say I'll take it , takes it
Your feedback is much appreciated as well !
    Cheers
    Nick

That's really something else bro, like you said never seen a whole handle made out of mammoth -- just small sections. Amazing work.

I've made something similar with the scales and I glued them to a piece of spacer , but yeah it was a pita to work but it was beautiful. Amazing work now make a hundred more so we'' have a sporting chance at getting one.

First time sounded sketchy paying 150-200$ for a small piece to someone random , but turned out she is a top notch person , even sent practice pieces when ordered first time , was giving advices during whole process on how to work with and when I had a little problem on my first piece she even gave a partial refund for my hard work , I didn't even hint about anything like that but it says much about persons quality a lot

Thanks ! Well first of all as I know it is illegal to import anything narwhal and walrus in US so even if I had one and made one the customs will either send it back to me in good case or destroy it in bad case , also prices on those go like crazy :)
Looks like you like twisted handle ? I have an order now for a ferro rod with elforyn (elephant tusk substitute) with fluted handle a twisted brass wire in between, could make a knife like that as well if something ;)
