I'm looking forward to meeting some of the Maryland BCUSA crew this spring. Does anyone want to start planning? Where... When... etc. I need to start putting in my vacation days to get approved for the year.

I would like to head out west to the Green Ridge or Catoctin if everyone is up for it. The Green Ridge still has primitive camping available. Hopefully Scott Allen can chime in on that front. How does March sound for anyone interested?

I'm game depending on time frame. Have a road trip planed for Maine in April, but maybe pushing it later on closer to fall.

You want to go to Green Ridge. Catoctin Mountain Park doesn't allow backcountry camping because it borders Camp David. Green Ridge has a lot of nice places to camp. Scott or Keith Compton can recommend a good site. Keith has explored the whole area pretty thoroughly.

Darn, now I'm wishing I could be there.

Spring turkey hunting starts in April. I wouldn't mind meeting up during that time if it works for everyone.

I have a group site reserved in Shenandoah National Park @Matthews Arm campground May 8-10. Site handles 25 people. Decided to start an annual campout. Chime in here if you would like to join in...sure would like to fill the site. I plan to hike a trail on Saturday too.

Hey guys long time lurker, first time poster. Have you guys ever checked out Michaux State forest, up in PA? That's my go to place. Lots of great trails, including the AT.

I changed the date for my reservation at Matthews Arm and now have 3 sites for May 29-31. Max people per site is 6 with 2 tents so that means if 3 per tent the best use of the site. I may call about hammocks and tents. Anyhow that's the new date as Mothers Day weekend was just not working for most.
