    Update 7-29-18:
Millersylvania is a fun weekend get together for the BushcraftUSA members, families and friends. Over the years this has become a great event and this is the 7th time we will have it. Some of the closest friends I have started at this event.

What to expect?: Lots of sitting around the fire cooking up food and stories. A time to catch up with old friends and make new ones. You get to show off your knives, axes and other toys and see what other folks have too.

We will do one focused bushcraft skill set for the and this year ATLATLS sound like the skill of choice. (We can set up a secure area to launch arrows somewhere on the site I am sure.:15:)

There will also be lots of fire make practice and basic cooking skills going on too.

What is the cost?: I ask for a cheerful donation ($10-20) to help cover park rental fees and food cost. I provide meat for the potluck, coffee and breakfast for Saturday morning. Extra money is always donated to the local food bank and to date we have given close to a $1000. Please bring nonperishables as well to be donated.

What do you need?: The G1 spot is tent camping only and there are good spots for hammocks too. Bring warm/dry clothes and good sleeping arrangements. There is a decent restroom and running water in the covered shelter.

You will need to bring food for lunch and snacks and an item that would serve 8+ people for the potluck. Friday night there will probably be a group pot of "stew/chili/something edible" cooking over the fire. Sunday morning consist of a leftover breakfast that is also quite a feast.

He posted something on Instagram about a dug out canoe... that might be an all weekend event though.

I was thinking Atlatls... or a fishing tripod natives used to use for spear fishing, or net fishing.

You could use BDH's big expensive tent as a target. Obviously make sure he's distracted with cooking or something at the time...

I live right down the road, if something was made like an atlatls we could definitely make the 5 minute drive to my place for testing :)

Hm... I dunno. Could be pretty cool. Part 1: Atl-atl's. Part 2: practice our field repair skills.

    I'll bring the duct tape...

(and running shoes, not that they'll help)

I’ll start making a pile of sticks and feathers as I find them for our lawn darts session as soon as my home repairs are finished... I’d rather be there in a tent or a half shelter anyways!

Alright. Okay. Just hold on here a minute. Someone please clarify something for me. I know I said I'd be there, but what's all this about roasting goats-n-spears-n-what not? I need to know if there is going to be a Loincloth Event where we make our own and jump around the campfire whoopin' an' hollerin' an' such. If that happens, I ain't coming out of my tent.

You don’t have to make your own loincloth. One will be provided if you don’t have one :) Seriously the last one was my first and it was a nice calm event with a lot of nice folks :) Great food and some very cool classes and conversations all over the camp.

Okay, seriously now: What If I can't make it until early saturday morning. Is there a way to reserve a site or is mid-October sort of a free for all as to openings. Work might get in the way and I might not get the day off.

Will have to find a fry bread maker, I continue to fail at it. Goat might be cool to try out? I have never had it. Do you have a spit to roast it with @BigHat ?

No spit, but I can bring a goat. Or I can just bring a haunch that we can cook into stew in a Dutch oven...
