I'm definitely gonna be a watcher of the atlatl festivities, but is there anything I can bring to help with them? What wood makes good arrows? Etc

    Hear ye hear ye....

With the donations given to help cover cost. Extra is normally given to the local food bank. This go around all extra gifts will go to one of our own. If you been around awhile you know Cro. If you are new it will only be a matter of time till he touches your life with knowledge and bush wisdom. Bring extra if you can and I will see that the funds go to help he and his family on behalf of our group in the PNW. God bless and Happy day

I will bring one from Ken and see if we can figure it out. Still a mystery for me on how Ken pulls it off?

I'm packing and getting ready for food shopping. I'm at a loss for what to bring for Potluck. Buying for unknown others is intimidating! I'm thinking of locally made (small German deli/meat processors) Bratwurst. Any better suggestions? Be there early tomorrow afternoon. I' really looking forward to this.

Last minute question: Is the site big enough that someone (who is me) could conceivably fit a small 23' RV in anywhere? I've been putting in asdfghjkl-tier hours at work lately and I'm definitely not packed for a weekend, so at this point it may just be easier to bring home with me. I've got no knowledge of the site, but it is a group site, right?

I also just might be able to shield some of yall from the most casually-prying of snowflake eyeballs with the thing's bulk if the site is set up right for it... just an idea.

Where we are is tent only. There is RV spots available in the park just not right by the G1 location we are using. Wouldn't be a big deal to use those spots and than join us. Sometimes I feel I am getting closure to the RV lifestyle too.

Been years since I truck camped. I'll bet I forget more stuff than on any canoe run. :D I'm bringing a folding table like BDH's above, a big wok to keep my pan roasted red potatoes warm so folks can scoop 'em as they like while grazin' through the potluck. Brats are a must, so I'm bringing some, too. Some of them go into the potatoes. Coupla dozen happy hen eggs from a gal at work, and some extra steel cookware (on the large side) if needed.

EDIT: And, something extra for the cause

Okay, I'm here. Is there a way to drive directly into the group area? No vehicle access that I can see. Back road is gated off???

I don't think you can drive into the camp site propper. We've always parked in the lot and walked a short distance in to where we camp.

You have to park by the pay station and hoof it in. There is a little trail to access the area.

0830 hours: just talked to ranger. Will unlock back access road so both sides of site can be driven close in to unload, Also will open restroom. Site is roughly circular around shelter. Walk in varies as to which site is left as you arrive. There are auxiliary trails leading in from parking areas that may shorten carry. Average distance might be 50 to 75 yds. Will help with anything heavy. John.

I am getting ready to head out. I think I have loaded more stuff then I used to use for a weeks vacation with the family in an RV. I have to quit going through the gear room and seeing stuff I just might need. If they don't open the gate I might need pack animals! Be there in an hour or so. Can't wait!

I'm open to trying most anything once. However, I approach things like chili with great caution. Not as tough as I used to be.

I was gonna try to head that way earlier but I've been trying to get axes ready and loaded up while watching my toddler. Not an easy task. Gonna head to the feedstore in a few and get the hay bales, then head over! If you see a silver Nissan Titan wave lol

Lots of stuff loaded up... taking off now. I should be there in about 3-4 hours.

Not sure I'll be back tonight or not. If anyone is interested in my stuff for sale there just hold on to it and shoot me a text or find me tomorrow : ) also I brought a hefty chunk of community fatwood. Feel free to take pieces of it if you'd like.
Great meeting the ones I met so far. Look forward to meeting everyone else!

Fyi to anyone coming for the first time, you park to the left of the toll booth cabin, there is a bunch of cars there, can't miss it. After that follow the smoke and the BS : )
