Where is a good place to go for surplus around the north metro ideally but will drive further if needed. Is there any good places that have a lot of gear or does everyone pretty much just buy online?

I haven’t been in the crystal CC military surplus in a couple of years but they did have a back room with ww2 surplus. Not a lot of stuff but it was ok and reasonably priced.

there is a CC surplus in Maplewood on White Bear Ave just south of 964.....been in there a time or two...

    can find them via google....

course FleetFarm has surplus stock on occasion but it's really hit or miss

Not sure if the one down town Minneapolis is still open on 4th???? or there about...

Let us know if you find a source.......most of the time I look on line these days.....

I know Sportsmens Guide sells some stuff too. Not sure if they have any in their South St. Paul location or not but I know they have some stuff online. They used to have a store in Blaine/Spring Lake Park off of 10 and I loved it. I dont mind buying some stuff online but clothes I would rather try on first.

Fleet Farm is under new management, so they no longer carry surplus. They sold/phased it all out last year.

OH yeah, forgot that they are under new management. Seems like a good business idea would be to open a surplus store but you wonder if the internet is killing that line of business since you just dont see the stores anymore. I can see the advantages with limited costs driving more profit on a lower priced item I guess. Sounds like I just need to order online for the stuff I need.

There is a army surplus place in downtown Duluth... basement of Minnesota Surplus.
It's the only place I've been to in MN

The next time I’m up in Brainerd I’ll check out Crazy Jims surplus. There’s 3 of them up there. I checked out their website and it seems way better than CC for sure.

CC is mainly airsoft gear and military style gear, most of which is not Mil Spec gear, it's cheap knock offs of the real deal. Be wary of ordering military surplus gearonline make sure you check the condition of the gear, "good" to military standards means its serviceable, but has flaws like holes, stains, names written on them in permanent marker, missing buckles/snaps, etc.

What they have on the Michigan Street level is a far cry from what MN Surplus used to have.. :-(...

As for Fleet Farm, that explains why they have jack squat, I had thought it was just the Duluth Store, as that's the only one I go to now = its local..

It seems that there isn't a quality military surplus store in the twin cities metro area. Unless there is one I don't know about?

The store in downtown Minneapolis looks closed. I just went by it earlier this week and it was empty.
