Time just seems to stand still at my camp by the waterfall Nothing else matters there but relaxing and letting my mind rest. This was also my first trip with the M&P Shield! Terrible picture - upside down for some reason too The waterfall was still running a little after weeks of no rain, confirming my theory that it's partially spring-fed. I set up for some coffee As dry as it is, I didn't want to chance a big fire, so I brought along the canister stove. I love the fact that I can crank this thing way up I whittled myself a bushcraft stirring stick - cedar no less Flavor of the forest! I brought along some Irish soda bread I baked at home in my cast iron skillet. This stuff is super easy to make, and yummy! I read a book while I drank my coffee, and then I brought out a piece of poplar and split off a piece. I've been wanting to make a netting needle for awhile, and it was the perfect way to test out my new knife This thing hogs off giant shavings! The needle has a ways to go, but it's almost done. As usual, my little trip was way too short. But I loved every minute of it Thanks for joining me!
