Time just seems to stand still at my camp by the waterfall :) Nothing else matters there but relaxing and letting my mind rest.

This was also my first trip with the M&P Shield! Terrible picture - upside down for some reason too

    IMG_0720.JPG

The waterfall was still running a little after weeks of no rain, confirming my theory that it's partially spring-fed.

    IMG_0722.JPG

I set up for some coffee :) As dry as it is, I didn't want to chance a big fire, so I brought along the canister stove. I love the fact that I can crank this thing way up :D

    IMG_0727.JPG IMG_0728.JPG

I whittled myself a bushcraft stirring stick - cedar no less ;) Flavor of the forest!

    IMG_0732.JPG

I brought along some Irish soda bread I baked at home in my cast iron skillet. This stuff is super easy to make, and yummy!

    IMG_0735.JPG

I read a book while I drank my coffee, and then I brought out a piece of poplar and split off a piece. I've been wanting to make a netting needle for awhile, and it was the perfect way to test out my new knife :)

This thing hogs off giant shavings!

    IMG_0738.JPG IMG_0739.JPG

The needle has a ways to go, but it's almost done.

As usual, my little trip was way too short. But I loved every minute of it :) Thanks for joining me!

Very nice indeed. I need to break out my canister stove. Just too hot for a fire now.
