Just came in the mail today. Not sure what's going on, but it smells strongly like cheese. I washed it twice in soap and water and it's a little more bearable now, but still noticeable. Going to have to boil some water in it over the firepit to drive this smell out.

Might be a forming lubricant from the factory. Lots of hot soapy water might help.

Mors tests each one by making cheese fondue for his friends. Yours was tested and approved.

perhaps an assembler cut the cheese, and a whiff was trapped ...

Some of you fellas are real saints! Poor guy finally gets a new Mors pot, only to discover it smells like Epoisses de Bourgogne has been stored in it, and suddenly it’s a Robin Williams/Billy Crystal marathon.

There's a company outta Wisconsin I think that makes/made one of the best Limburgers I've ever had!

I like to take a slice of boiled ham some fresh onion and a smear of limburger, roll it all up. Maybe some mustard.

Making me hungry just thinking about it.

Limburger? For real? You guys eat that stuff?

I have never had the "pleasure" of it, but have been told it is akin to boiling an old loggers socks and underwear and drinking the water from it.

    Limburger is actually very good.
Want some REAL funk? Try aged brick cheese. Smells just like sweaty buttcrack. I kid you not. You have to rinse it in cold water, to help reduce the smell. Afterwards, it tastes like a very sharp cheddar.

We all had to take gym class in school. Try and remember what the locker room smelled like. If yours didn't smell like butt crack your class didn't put much effort into the class. Just sayin'.
