Hi everyone, not sure if this has been done or not, but we need help contacting D.K He was part of a passaround of @mtngoat 's Esee CR2.5 and has failed to return it or contact anyone. If anyone in the North Carolina group knows him or has other means of contacting him please do and let me know. Thanks in advance.

    Last here July 6th.
You have his name and address.
Google obituaries. Sounds sad, but ....

I think for a passaround people should give their contact information to the person sponsoring it.

I only assumed that the one that sent it to him had it.
    I thought that was you.

    My apology for being unclear.

I cleaned up my PM's and deleted the one from him with his address. I also threw away the receipt from USPS after the package delivered.

Maybe one of the mods can get it from the website.
If @D.K has not deleted his side of the PM.

I would tag them, but I am not in the passaround list.

    Well there's the problem.
What the heck is someone in PA doing in a NC passaround?
    :18:

This just took a twist ;)

Seriously, I'm surprised this is the first time I've read a thread like this here. With all the passarounds and such, and my experience elswheres, I think you all are doing pretty good to not have had something like this pop up before.

Well...it's not an N.C. passaround. It's a BCUSA passaround and it shipped from PA to NC where it "disappeared". So now @Bdug is reaching out to the NC group to try and contact @D.K who has the knife, hasn't logged on in 6 weeks, acknowledged he had it in his last post, etc. ;)

Thanks for the additional info :dblthumb:
To tell the truth, until this thread I didn't realize someone from another state could post in a state sub-forum they did not live in. I thought it was a privacy thing like the other sub-forum groups.
And now I know the rest of the story :D

No worries sir, I understand what you were trying to portray now as well.

Thanks for check I appreciate it.

Now there is an idea. How do I request that information from moderators or administrators? Anyone?

Also this was not a NC pass around I was just hoping that since he was a member of it, someone here would be able to contact him. I am hoping to drum up some attention to get @mtngoat 's knife back. So, THANKS! to everyone posting!!!

If moderators were to give out personal information (and they won't) I'd be out of here. Not because I have anything to hide either. But because its PRIVATE information you gave in faith it would stay that way.
There are legal reasons they can't/shouldn't.
When/if people start posting other people's private information publicly on a forum I'm out of here too! Same reasons.

At this point the last person to ship it to DK should have his address no? So they should write a letter to him saying they want the knife back is all, or for him to make it square one way or the other make plans to.

    @Outdoor Dauber ...
Send a PM to @Jason @Guy or another mod and explain the situation.
As in the knife is now MIA.
They may be able to see the 'other' end of the PM that @D.K sent to you, and know that the address was sent to you.

@Outdoor Dauber was the one that got the address, right? He deleted the address from the pm sent to him by @D.K ???

    I agree.
What I propose is that the mod see that the address was already shared with the member.
He would see it in the PM.

And NO, not wide open on the forum.

As far as I'm aware, mods can only see PM's if you "invite" them to the co conversation, which is a feature in the PM. But they can only see what you can see.

It seems that forum mods are being asked to shoulder a lot of responsibility around here the days. They don't have anything to do with pass arounds or gaw's or sales threads. They moderate posts and remove what is necessary. Guy and Jason as well. I'm sure they sympathize but it's also not their responsibility to baby sit the above mentioned. Best of luck to all involved.

Is there record in your email inbox? Normally replies to PM's send an email to you, I think. Worth a search in your inbox, unless you deleted it there, too.

We don’t have any personal information other than the email address he registered with so I can try to email him. We cannot read PM’s unless invited so that won’t work. I would recommend when doing a passaround that whoever is in charge collect personal information before sending out the item, this has happened multiple times before where someone kept the passaround item. Unfortunately we don’t known much more than you do other than an email address. Please leave trader feedback on this individual so if he logs back on others know he kept a knife and won’d make the same mistake.

Also to be clear, even if I did have personal information such as supporter membership payment info I would not give it out. We are not going to give out any individual’s private information unless required through proper legal channels.

If you can remember the person's real name and the city and state where you sent it, it shouldn't be that much trouble to find a current address with a little web searching and maybe a buck or two to one of the sites that sells such data.

I just received a like from @colter on this thread so I want to make sure everyone that comes across it knows that @mtngoat was gifted another one from a member. Terrible to admit, but I can’t remember who. I’ll try and figure out who it was unless someone beats me to it.

edit found it @crewhead05 at-a-boy due.
