Here is my new sheath design I'm calling "The Woods Master".

It's a compilation of every carry option I have ever done on a sheath...all in one compact modular system.

    It offers:
    Standard vertical belt loop carry
    Horizontal (scout) carry
    MOLLE compatible
    Ferro rod loop
Two sets of grommets for additional carry options (neck lanyard, strap to a pack, etc)
Also available with a removable dangler

First some glamour shots...I fit this one for my ESEE 3hm

Like most sheaths with horizontal straps these unsnap on the front. Instead of setting the snap through the body of the sheath and the strap I set my snaps just through the strap which was then saddle stitched through the welt. Might seem insignificant but over time pulling on the strap to unsnap it you're not pulling on the sheath itself just the strap which is easily replaceable after years of wear and tear. Also stitching it through the welt keeps the strap straight and from rotating.

The belt loop section also snaps in at the top of the sheath so it's not left to flop around and just rely on the horizontal straps for support. Also has a retention screw in the upper corner of the welt.

With the loops unsnapped the vertical section can be removed..

Note the snap at the bottom...

Attach the MOLLE adapter strip which snaps top and bottom...

MOLLE strap can be threaded through webbing and the horizontal straps snapped back into place.

Or leave off the vertical belt loop section and just use the loops for scout carry.

Note I extended the fire steel loop out slightly so it doesn't interfere with the straps.

Should have this model added to the website this weekend. Thanks for looking! Comments and thoughts are welcome!

Like it. Functional. So what's the cost factor?

    It's beautiful man.

Reminds me of an old Lucky Lee sheath I had.. Similar to s Rob Bayley.

I was super obsessed by horizontal carry for the longest time ala Billy Joel :hit it John:..

Don't be shy, we know you got the harmony in ya ;)

Always innovative. Forever evolving. Someone should invest in you.. I shall knight the Mr. Enterprise.

"They used to call me little John, but then I had to flip... Now they call me Mr. Ruffles cause I'm all about my chips".

Now how is that for a weirdo rando post? Top that! Top that..

Ok so that was supposed to be a clip from some 80's movie where they have a dance off going back and forth saying "top that" in a terrible white 80s rap waspy dance off.

Mega cringe hilarity if anyone can find it.

But that is besides the point, John your leather work is amazing and your progress never ceases to blow my mind. Keep up the hustle mr. Ruffles. Your going places ;)

    Edit: found it!

Got confused by the vampire / witch theme.
