While I would love a chance to play with it, you should keep it to yourself and the lucky purchaser. It's not worth the agita waiting for it to come home.

Have you guesstimated a price range yet?

I'll have to see. Price might be around 300 to 375. Once I finish it I'll know how long it will take to make and calculate material costs.

Hey Matt, aren't those scales a little boxy?
I do like the combination of materials.

1/8 thick and a hidden tang would suite that blade rather well. 5/32 would work as well. Just immagine it with a stacked leather handle sitting between a kabar and a Pal or Mk1.

Haha it's not shaped out yet at all. Just glued and bolted to gather.

That would be phenomenal. I drew it up as a hidden tang to start with. But they are more costly and most people have a phobia of hidden tangs.

Either way this design should be popular. I would be tempted to sell a few blade for one with a stacked handle. The tang debate is one thing I hate about the survival knife concept.

    @556mp pm sent.

    I think I want one :)
9/64" 80crv2, approximately 4 1/2" blade (9" OAL) ,high scandi grind, brown micarta, stainless steel bolts.

Should be a great workhorse for my needs. The 9/64” is off Matt’s site and looks to be a great thickness for someone like me who can’t decide between 5/32 and 1/8.

    I'll take it.

Really like those lines. Blade shape really seems to lend itself to a great all arounder. Nice drop point for hunting duties

Yes! Love the look of this new model... especially the two scandi's :)
Great looking combos... especially with the black carbon bolster, orange, and ironwood.

This is the final rendition of the blue knife that I was working on:

I suspect that one in 3/16" would make a great camp knife!

One feature that I've seen on only one other knife is a rounded notch on the spine just in front of the handle to be used as a scraper for a ferro rod. I've added this to a couple of my knives by using a chain saw sharpening file or a small round rat-tail file. It saves the user from carrying a scraper or damaging the edge of the knife.

I really love the design of that blade and the handle is outstanding!

    Steve
