Just a heads up
I'm not too familiar with these blankets, is that description saying they are 30% wool?
it is saying they are 30% wool -- it also says they're non-woven/needle punch felted and do not wash.
these are great for emergency prep - not great for sustained use.
Thank you for the explanation.
I think these are pretty much the equivalent of moving blankets. Low grade wool blend, and a low wool content at that, and not durable or robust in construction. I'm guessing this is about what you'd get for about the same cost per unit buying a Harbor Freight recycled polyester/wool blend moving blanket?
Not something good for long-term use...something perhaps for the back of the Jeep "just in case."
Not saying they are worthless for some purposes, but just don't buy it thinking it is something you'll use for camping reliably.
That said, I have picked up some great deals on military surplus 100% heavy wool blankets through SG over the years. Not sure if they have any good ones in stock at the moment, but occasionally they do so if you are looking for such a blanket at a decent price it could pay off to be patient and keep an eye on SG (and other sources too of course).
These look like the kind that disintegrate when they get wet. Plus, at 30% wool, you're not getting the advantages of it.
