Get your priorities in order. The chores will still be there, whether you come or not. They just never stop.

Truck is packed less food. I've got some seminars to attend during the week so wanted to get packing done without last minute rush.

Mr. Bob's World Famous (in my own mind) beef jerky is officially in the dehydrator.....smells great....balsamic/red wine vinegar, garlic, brown sugar, mustard marinade, sprinkled with Mr. Bob's Hot Pepper Blend......super tasty.....everyone can try some.....

Might want to program in these two repeaters which are only a few miles away from the campground.

    Perkasie 145.3100- RF HILL 131.8
Warminster 443.9500- WARC 131.8 (Located near Perkasie)

I have a HT and a portable HF rig I'll bring along.

I would target these locations. Two of them creek bends. One a bridge area. They usually stock near bridges and road access. Not so much float stocking they did years ago. Holdovers from previous stockings will likely be at creek bends as in this area the creek bends tend to have deep undercuts. I haven't fished this stretch. (Hiked it many years ago.) I have fished upstream a bit at Stover Mill.
If you want to try bass I can give you directions to Giving Pond, a few miles up 32. That might be something to try once the weather warms towards Sunday.
There are also smallmouth and rock bass in this stretch of the Tohickan as well.

Sounds like a good use of procrastination. Based on weather I'm thinking this might only be a day trip for me on my way to mom's but I'll pack for sleeping just in case. See you in the afternoon.

yes, the sun really did make an appearance....what a fun day with fellow bushcrafters....hung out with new friends and old friends....a big thank you to Pastor Chris for setting this up and @tabasco_joe for taking care of the park fees.....lots of hiking and bushcraft instruction....got to see Tabasco joes new ham radio rig, all set up....

our evening meal was supplied by @Wolfcri and @hdlv.....wolfcri gathered some wild edibles and combined them with noodles, simple and delicious....hdlv cooked "paella"....some of us helped with the food prep, cutting up the veg....the cooking process was slow and steady....Christine who is a baker and chocolatier assisted hdlv cooking the dish..

dinner was a race against the approaching storm and dinner was served about a minute before the first drops started to fall....at that point everyone sought shelter and finished eating.....I must say, the paella was some of the best I have tasted....I didn't stay over, so for me it was eat and run.....

super fun day...I'm now looking forward to the next outing.......Bob.

Many thanks to Pastor Chris for setting this up. I had a good time and enjoyed putting faces to names! Lots of skills shared, carvings done and fun had. Big thanks to Wolfcri, hdlv, Christine and Anne for cooking up an amazing dinner last night! I cut out after dinner as my tent had taken on water! Hope everyone gets home safely today!
Here’s a look at the Paella!

Hello, Christine here. Finally signed up! I'm so happy to have met every one that showed up here and so thankful for the endless wealth of knowledge (and humor) you all brought along.
I was a complete newcomer, and I felt so welcome. What an incredible, friendly group of people and I hope to see you all again!

Had a great time at the meet up! Here are a few of my photos:

Met this little snake while doing a solo hike shortly after arriving on Saturday.

Paella just before adding the rice, Jims ramp & noodle soup simmering in the background. I didn't get a photo of the final product, we were racing the storm!

After the rain cleared up a little @Wolfcri and I hit the trail to grab somemore ramps in the fading light.

That's it, i think everyone had a great time!
