I have a busy January schedule but i'm thinking about registering for this. Anyone want to meet up?

    Outdoor Women of New Jersey’s
    Ice Fishing Workshop
    January 19, 2019 – 9:00am to 2:00pm
    $15.00
Kittatinny Valley State Park, Andover Twp., NJ
The Ice Fishing Workshop is part of the NJ Division of Fish and Wildlife’s “Outdoor Women of New Jersey” (OWNJ)
program. OWNJ workshops are designed to provide women 18 years of age or older with a welcoming environment in
which to learn outdoor skills. These workshops are for you if you are a newcomer to the outdoors, an outdoor
enthusiast who wants to learn new skills, or someone who wishes to network with other outdoor enthusiasts.
    About the Workshop:
Participants will get introduced to the sport of ice fishing by outdoor and ice fishing enthusiast David Alexander. David is
a lifelong educator, naturalist and conservation biologist (www.natureintoaction.com). The classroom portion of the
workshop will cover ice safety, staying warm and dry, targeting specific fish species, depth maps, ice fishing equipment,
knots, bait selection, and technique. The ice portion of the workshop will be hands‐on fishing, with filleting and camp
cookery. Please note, if no safe ice is available for the workshop, it will be rescheduled at a later date.
Workshop Fee: $15.00. Fee includes morning refreshments, light lunch, bait and tackle.
    Prepping for the Workshop:
Dressing warm will increase the enjoyment of the workshop. Plan to dress in several layers: polypropylene base layer,
fleece, and a warm/rain‐wind proof outer jacket, wool socks, hat, gloves, and warm snow boots. If you think you might
need it, you should bring it. We will be standing around on ice. If you have your own gear, please bring it.
    Registration:
Complete the registration form, make check or money order for $15.00 payable the NJOA‐EP (NJ Outdoor Alliance‐
Environmental Projects) and mail to: Karen Byrne, NJ Division of Fish & Wildlife, PO Box 418, Port Republic, NJ 08241.
Upon receipt of your registration and payment, you will be e‐mailed a confirmation notice, directions, and a list of items
you need to bring to be prepared. Registration deadline is January 4, 2019 (provided space is still available).
NOTE: Registration is limited to 20 participants and registrations are taken on a first‐come, first‐served basis.
    Requirements:
Participants must purchase their 2019 NJ Freshwater Fishing License (residents $22.50; non‐residents $34.00). For
participants who want to keep any trout that may be caught you must
purchase your Trout Stamp (residents: $10.50; non‐residents $20.00).
Licenses and trout stamps can be purchased at a License Agent or Online
    at www.njfishandwildlife.com.
    Cancellation:
The deadline for cancellation is January 9, 2019. If you cancel before that
date, you will receive a full refund. After that date, no refunds will be
issued. You may send a substitute if you are unable to attend provided
they complete the application form prior to the event.

Although the weekend is free, it seems like it's abit too far and there's not a easy bus route. Sad to miss this. Thanks for bringing this to attention !
