    hello,
:) LMAO instead of hand shake greetings between myself & friends when we meet from the sticks (countryside), we mimic playing the banjo & the Deliverance tune "feudin' banjo's". Bluegrass rules. :dblthumb:
    Regards
    David

I was wondering if he was still married to Andersen and checked the web there was a listing of his movies, I had forgotten just how many he was in. When Clint goes just about all the great ones who were popular in my youth will be gone.

I went out and started work on my Grumman 18, converting it over to a sailing trimaran. I kept backing into my Grumman 17. Maybe there's something to this....

    "Lewis was shot!"

EDIT NOTE: The correct quote is: "Drew was shot!" It was Drew that ended up that mangled wreck in the logjam.

I played the banjo today. The man in the movie does not know how to play the banjo, someone played it in the background. I saw an interview with him.

We all remember certain scenes that have become iconic, some through repeated joking, but it's a better movie than it maybe gets credit for. ;-)

Trivia: The book was written by James Dickey. Mr. Dickey plays the sheriff in the closing scenes of the movie. After reading the book, I thought Burt Reynolds played the character exactly as Mr. Dickey had written him.

James Dickey was, at one time, the “Poet Laureate” of the USA. Doc.

R.I.P. Burt - there will never be another like him for sure. The "Firebird" Trans Am is still one of my favorite classic cars. Eastbound and down loaded up and trucking!!!!

BR was one of te best. I miss the old actors who just sought to entertain us, unlike what we have now. Rabid leftists. No more good winning over evil in movies ever notice?. Just the opposite, ughhh.
