    Nice! Was that a piece of burl collected from John's place? @joaquinstmichael gave me some similar to it that I still need to do something with. Beautiful work.

    Actually this is a special piece of reclamined wood from the bexar county court house red oak "hanging tree" that fell down in a strong storm a few years ago. We were fortunate enough to get a small block if it to make custom knives for the sporting district here in San Antonio TX.
