1. Due to the amount of SPAM from foreign countries lately, we have made the decision to manually approve all new members. While we regret that this must be done and the added time that it will take for new members to be approved, it is necessary at this time. We hope to have legitimate new members approved in a timely manner, no longer than a couple of hours. If the Administrators are online at the time, it can be as soon as a couple of minutes. Thank you for your patience.

Guys, this is driven by your ideas. If y'all want this to keep happening, I'm gonna need some input. Plain and simple. There was plenty of interest a few months ago, where'd it all go? Come on, let's get some ideas?

From previous efforts on such projects, I have observed that the ideas do not flow in very fast from those who participate. I might recommend offering a set of four or five choices, and giving the members a chance to vote. That could increase the participation a bit.

That's not a bad idea, GreyOne. I may just have to start doing that.

    canvas and leather

Due to the popularity of all things canvas and leather these days why not do something canvas and leather, with waxing being an option I am gonna do some projects this winter and I a would love to get in on this and facilitate in any way that I am able. To my mind self made equipment is the true essence of bushcraft. Let's DIY this thing I'm in!!

A House. By Hand. The only items you bring in the woods are the clothes on your back. I know its kinda long term but I think it would be a cool challenge to see.
