I hope everyone doesn't mind me driving these, but the fairly regular meets help get me out in the woods! So I'm looking towards a meet for late Feb or March. My question for everyone is location. While I'm always happy to host, I like seeing the meets moved around the state to balance out everyone's drive times, and to see new spots. Our last three meets were: Mohican State Park, a spot down near Logan in the Hocking area, and at my place, which is virtually around the corner from Mohican. Brains has been looking into a spot up north, but to this point has not found much for an overnighter that would allow us to do the stuff we like to do. Namely make fires and sleep. Jeff Venture is putting together a day trip for Feb 15 up in the Metro Parks that sounds like fun. So, to wrap this up: We haven't been out west much. There are also the Cincinnati, Marietta, and Toledo areas: if we have anyone out in those locations, give a shout out!

I have a ton going on in February. I can host up here in March (44044 area). If you guys are interested, I can set a date and get it organized. I will have to limit it to 15 guys though.

Private property with a pond, creek, and shooting range. It will be muddy though, I can guarantee you that.

I say go for it OLJ. It would be nice to check out some of the northern section or the state, and Spring in Ohio = Mud Period. +1 for hammock time!

I have a couple killer spots in Wayne National Forest scoped out that I've already used which would be good for up to 10-15 people. Open fires allowed and you can camp anywhere. Stream within 100 yards and plenty of dead wood for fuel.

I would definitely be down for an outing in Wayne National Forest. I went to (think partied at) OU for two years in my silly youth and made several trips into Wayne National Forest for assorted hijinks. I'd love to go back and use the land for what it was intended.
