Cut the bottom off and stick the other side (Valve) on a stick and you have a hillbilly wine glass. Lol

I have often asked the same question for propane cans. What to do? What to do?

Oil candle? Punch the valve down, fill with lamp oil and insert a round wick. ;)

Neat! Now to time the duration. How many ounces of fuel in it?

Prolly enough citronella for an evening fishing foray with the kids. I can even put the plastic cap back on over the wick.

Now someone needs to figure out a way to add a glass globe.

It has to be scavenged though, maybe a coke bottle?

Little lighter fluid, a lighter, some string, and a sink of ice water to remove the bottom. Now, how to secure it to the canister?

I saw that this afternoon, stopping by the local outfitters to replace the one MSR mini groundhog I lost in November.

I think this is the best use. Just recycle.

Refill them. The adapter is $2 and the butane is sold many places including asian markets.

It is a glass bead, nice tight fit to keep wick in place/adjustable. Wick is just a mop string.

I think we all win on this lamp. I have plastic one from somewhere, about the same size and it says 115 plus hours. A screw cap would make this perfect for a Palmer furnace or any camp use for light or heat, IMO. Now I wonder about alcohol. A ‘forever’ burner.

Nope, carve one from a handy limb, you can split it 3 ways at the bottom to make it stand. :)

remove the bottom and top, invert, drill holes in the sides, and make a canister stove windscreen.....maybe?
