Went out this morning for opening day for archery. First time with a bow and in a stand. Didnt see any deer but saw a bear, ducks and squirrels 20190907_071039.jpg 20190907_071545.jpg 20190907_130257.jpg 20190907_080320.jpg

Even without a deer it sounds like a successful day. :dblthumb:

Great Pictures. If you want to see a deer, just pack a lunch and when you just get the sandwich and water jug out of your napsac, a deer will appear.:4:

Even though you didn’t see a deer it still sounded like fun.

Glad you got out. Not a bad start to deer season, sitting in a tree and watch a bear walk by. Maybe Yogi the bear ate your deer sandwich

Hunting days don't count against your allocated lifespan.

Glad you got out. Seeing a bear is extra cool.

I'm picturing some random duck just casually waddling past your stand... :18:

Glad you got out and hope you see a deer soon!

You were out there, that's a success. I'd rather be hunting and not see anything then be home thinking about hunting.

Thank for sharing your opening day with us.

Last picture reminds me of a Hank Williams Jr. song.
"I'd like to spit some Copenhagen in that deers eye, jump out with my knife and stab him in the thigh".:D
Good luck! I like to bow hunt too, and our season opened this past Saturday. However, the 90+ degree temps squelches my desire. I'm gonna wait a bit.
