I am opening the wait-list early, contrary to my previous decision. I don't see so much sense in keeping it closed anymore.

So here's what's up: none of the new orders will be processed before SEPTEMBER. Please use the format below, and post your order in THIS THREAD. I would rather the orders be posted here than PM'd to me; it will help prevent their loss, and it's already organized by first come-first serve. I'm also pondering on the idea of processing one order at a time; we'll see.

    Griffith-Made Models Page

HERE is a link to pictures of nearly every knife that I have made. Be aware that some pictures are of earlier work, and that the latest pictures will be in my WIP & Around the Shop thread.

The post should look like this in order for us to work through your details quickly:

Model: [Grifflore, Griffman, Woodsman, Red Dragon Puukko, Nessmuk, Trapper, Kiridashi, or CUSTOM] (please be aware than custom work will cost more; there is a significant amount of time invested in the designing and crafting of your unique pattern)

Stock: [steel type and thickness] (please be aware that there will be an up-charge for any steel bar other than O1 in the following thickness: 3/32", 1/8", 5/32", 3/16") (also, be aware that some custom orders may require widths that I do not typically stock which may increase your wait-time and price).

Finish: [HT, satin (+$20) or polished ($40)] [note in this line if you want a custom stamp on the RIGHT FLAT (no up-charge)]

    Edge: [scandi, scandivex or convex]

Handle Material: [micarta, G10, woods, etc.] Please note if you would like liners (including thickness, material and color if you like); simple (one liner per handle scale) liners are $20, and each additional set of liners (making a compound liner material) is $10. (Please be aware that any handle material (not including liners) that costs over ~$10 will result in an up-charge)

Hardware: [lanyard tubes (brass or stainless), pins (brass, copper or nickle silver) or Loveless Bolts (please be specific as to brass or stainless for the bolts and nuts)] (Please be as specific as possible here) (I will only use Loveless bolts on the Woodsman pattern) (see the pictures in my Griffith Knife Models thread (or use THIS link) for examples of hardware options and ideas for custom layouts)

Sheath: [state yes or no] [if yes, please tell me what color you'd like for the leather and stitching, and be specific as to left or right hand] [please tell me if you'd like a dangler (+$20), double stitching (+$20) or firesteel loop (+$20)]

Firesteel: [state yes or no] (the firesteel will match the knife and is a $40+ up-charge depending on the availability of handle material after the construction of your knife; if there is not enough you will be notified and given the option of purchasing the necessary handle material)

So what's the deal with this thread? Are you still going to make these knives, or should I just mark it off my list?

    Thanks

Give Chris a chance as the last i saw he was training as an EMT and that takes a lot of time and skill to get there, most people/ vendor's have a a main job that they have to keep going to be able to do the making thing in there spare time and as with every one the spare time is little to none some times.

I have no problem being patient for a quality custom blade. If you look at his WIP thread there have been several people inquire as to the whereabouts back in May of this year and there has been no response. I am on his waitlist and have no issues if its time that is needed but if he is out of the game he could let us all know so we can look else where for something custom that is all. I too have a part time home based business along with a full time job so I know what its like to be busy.
