Please let the Forum know what you think of it. I was lucky enough to spend a day at the Ötzi museum last summer, and have thought about writing something for the group here about the visit.

Just ordered it, I’ll get to watch it later. Sounds like a fun telling.

Maybe @Mr.Black , @Red Yeti , @cockeyedhunter would like to check it out as well. I know a few others would probably enjoy this movie as well. I just can’t recall their screen names right now.

I just finished watching the movie.
First off it is not Family friendly.

It is the classic man leaves home for a while, his family gets killed, he takes revenge and ends up dead movie.
I was a bit disappointed the only thing about it that has to do with Otzi is the gear and the time period.
I had expected there would be some storyline concerning the copper axe or at least have more primitive skills content.
There are a few Bushcrafty/Otzi moments, but this movie could have been set in any time period and any locale and been the same movie.
What little dialogue there is, is in German or some variation. There is a brief description at the start of the movie but I don't recall exact details. Not being able to understand what is being said didn't seem to take much away for me though.
I think most of you will enjoy it if you aren't expecting the ultimate Otzi experience. It is still entertaining.
Lots of good scenery and I assume authentic gear etc.

It can be sourced also on itunes at a fee. This story could be depicted in 100's of variations. I have no complaints as to how Otiz was portrayed. It leaves more opportunities for other movies. I enjoyed the lack of "english" language. I liked how it showed Otiz was not a super hero, he was just as flawed as anyone else, he just happened to get frozen in time. The wet nurse goat was a hoot, a good example of how lack of english sub titles were not needed, they played the slight sound effects to their upmost impact.

Just saw it and liked it very much. It can also be accessed through Kanopy for free if your public library has a subscription.
