That is on the lower Payette River in Idaho, in Gem County. Regan Butte in the background. Annual "Saint Paddlers Day" group day-trip.
Picture from last October. This was on a trip down the Moose River out of Jackman, ME.
Comical moment... This was the first real river trip for the guy in the bow.

these are from the flooding we had in 2011. I was near the Swatara Creek but never actually paddled the creek during the flood, i was on flooded roads and in neighborhoods.

We have our team in place for this season and gearing up for one to remember.
Spent Saturday at a local Sporting Goods Retailer showing off the new drift dory and the river sled then doing a seminar on baits and cures for spring salmon.

Dead gator. about 4'-5' long... not really that big... they killed a 12'-er at the other end of the lake about a year later... THAT would have been something.

A short trip on Lake Erie
Here a few pics from a short paddle my lady and I took this morning. We tooled around a somewhat sheltered bay just off Lake Erie near the state line of MI/ OH.
It was a great day to paddle and scout some future campsites.
We saw about seven different bald eagles but I couldn't seem to get a pic. We will definitely be returning.
Does anyone have any experience with the wavewalk kayak? It seems like a pretty good idea. You thoughts?

We took a trip to Portland this past October and kayaked the white river that feeds into the Columbia river. One of my favorite trips ever.

We had an awesome time. I didn't want to leave.
Took a little trip along the shore of the Albemarle Sound yesterday. Gorgeous weather, and the company was tolerable.
The entrance to Hidden Lake is... well... concealed.
But not invisible.
Next time I'll get some pictures of the area for y'all. It's a little patch of paradise, if you remembered DEET.
