    got out last weekend with the family. got a few of the classes done, and saw some beautiful country. Had some great weather and stayed 2 nights. We had alot of fun. Saw alot of ducks and a few geese. Also had a hawk or two swing by.

    oh. had a tea ball tied on to the end of the wire. didnt want to work too hard to fish it out when it it was done.

    Do you ever have any problems with cutting green trees on National Forests? Or can you get a permitt for it?

    Pike NF is pretty country, makes me homesick for Colorado. Did you get to do any fishing in the beaver ponds?

    dont get caught doing it. had a friend get a $75 a tree fine for it He had cut 6. everything I used was windfall from a heavy storm. As for a permit, contact the forest service and they can tell you better

    ponds had no fish in them. better for hunting ducks and geese when in season. oddly enough didnt see sign of any beavers.
