thought I’d drop a couple pics of some fire prep I did tonight with my Orion micro.

This really is about the perfect size knife to carry and use for these types of tasks. Very sharp and slicey. I’m loving how nice and compact of a package the whole thing is. Light, not small but perfect size to do work with, thin, and yet still hand filling at the same time.

I am not a great photographer, but this probably won’t be the last picture I take of myself with this knife. Feathers would be far better with better wood. The sparks this thing shoots are insane.

Yep. This outperformed my bark river and custom. Also got birch going (unprocessed) , and fat wood shavings.

I am trying to get up the nerve to start on your blade..... I need to grind it on a day off with a fresh belt so it comes out perfect!

Perfect or not, the knife will see a heck of a lot of use. My primary use backpack, new to me from HPG, is arriving in a couple days. Should carry lots of tools nicely on various trips! :dblthumb:
