The same but different.
Took the SEREchete WSK Hybrid out...
I like that SET Serachete! Drooling as we speak.
SEREchete WSK Hybrid smashing ice build up...
Dang that is one sweet blade right there!!! How does one get one of these? Man I'm in love!!!!!!!!!!!
That looks like fun! You know its February, right? (Xmas lights still up) are u late or getting a jump on next year.
They were trapped under ice, it’s a Metallica song!
30 below with lots of snow, but at least I have my cup of joe...and a knife made by someone you might know...
The coveted SET with Shaman scales. Nice, very nice!
Curly maple isn’t the best for curls but alright for testing. Surprises around every corner.
That was one of my favorites.
That’s actually pretty light considering how big it is.
It’s exactly the same as my Beck WSK...
Mmm... mmm... good!
Man another pic. of that beautiful WSK Hybrid SEREchete !!
"ArmyMacE" If you ever want to get rid of her please hit me up.. I'm probably not the first to ask you that though...lol
Nice very nice.
The latest SET: 1/8” A2 steel, M3?
I was curious to know who ended up with this knife. Looks great!
It’s even better than it looks in pictures.
Damm...alot ofpeople, including me, were drooling over that one. Congrats!
Some quick initial thoughts on Solutrean after a couple weeks of use - VERY good one knife option. Though it is not an apple slicer, it certainly handles all I need it too. I wouldn't consider this a chopper so much as a very well balanced large knife...its chopping ability remains impressive with its forward axe-like grind and heft. The rearward scandi is great for notches and some smaller draw knife work. Centered tip makes a great driller. I wish I had some game to cut up and suspect the leaf shape convex would be pretty awesome.
Couple quick pics illustrating
-sharpness after some heavy use
-tent stakes...one was less than a minute to make and the other 1.5. You can almost chop a tip into it.
-fire board of course
I am still getting to know the solutrean but suspect it shall earn a permanent role in the line up.
Another Stag beauty! Congrats!
Received my M3C from Brian today. The blade and finish are is exceptional. Scales fit my hand like they were made for it! Sheath is impeccable like all of his work. It’s just right. Not too small, not too big, it’s just right. Can’t explain it any better. I’ll put some more photos in the M3C post. Thank Brian.
Were is the best place to find newly available sets?here,Facebook, instagram etc?
This is supposed to be 'solutrean', right, not a french accent saying 'soul train'?
I like soul train better.
Grammar isn't my best subject
Im glad that bad boy is getting some use. I say it’s time for a jungle hut.
Family portrait (its upside down vs how I laid it out but you get the idea)
@mauiarcher Nice collection. I love that big boy in the middle!
Me too. that is my solutrean aka woul train.
Pinch pots with a couple of my favorite littles...
Still cleaning up and fixing storm damage from last weekend. Big island had something crazy like 180mph wind on mtn top. Our snow level was down to 6100' feet of something like that (unheard of....lowest ever recorded).
Tree branch fell on the roof. Used peanut butter knife just as I had hoped I would and intended for this kind of stuff (all around use). Made a wooden dowel to pound blocking in roof joist back in place. Cut away loose drywall and caulk. Loving this blade.
Working some deer skin into a knife/tool roll for my carving knives...
It's been quite a while since my last post but I finally graduated from college and now have a lot more time and now money to feed my bushcraft addictions .
This is out in Jackson Hole a few months ago. If you look reeeeal close you can see Grand Teton back there. I've had this blade for a while and I don't go out into the woods without it!
love that area....pretty rich crowed there but just the same a place I wouldn't mind going back to in a second. Great knife of course too
Anglegutter that little guy looks lethal nice set up!!
Fresh off the grinder...
Thanks Brian, she’s a beauty!
That was fast!!
No kidding..I tripped over it on the way out the door this afternoon.
Didn’t even know it had shipped.
It’s my first shaman pattern, looks like b epoxied over the grooves which filled them in and makes it almost smooth to the touch...I really like that!
Not sure if he’s always done it that way or if it’s something new.
Wow! I’m liking that Shaman pattern a lot. Perfect finish with the epoxy to keep it smooth. Congrats Angelgutter!
Had to see why Rio Rojo is so coveted....just received my first in the mail today. definitely a fan and wont be my last.
