Much better! Through some dense fatwood like a hot knife through butter.

Well I made my first knife handle. I bought a blank from Brian (aka @Sargent , aka *S*, aka SET) so that I could play around with making scales. I also wanted to see if i could rehandle a knife with what I might have on me in the woods (cordage and a maybe a small saw which I typically bring). I was considering using only the knife blank to carve it out but needed an excuse to use el chapo that also arrived this week. I could have just as easily battoned the scales off too I suppose.

It was super fun but I don't think Brian's job is in jeopardy anytime soon. Gonna play with the blank knife (wish i knew its name) and maybe make a sheath. Super cool design. The back of the spine has a kinda of thumb ramp and relief for my pointer finger if I was using to dress game or something.

Sheath made! It actually has amazing retention. Picked the idea up from one of iz's old videos.

M3 compared to M3C. Both amazing knives for sure. Just trying to figure a way to keep them both...

I dont know if Brian still makes sheaths but he was kind enought to make this one for me years ago. He did not make the knife but he custom made this one so I could use the golok in the field. It is ambidexterous - I can carry it in a variety of ways or just slip it in a pack. Perfect!

I have not forgotten- great work mister! thankyou

Scandi Apache helping out with a recent bow drill. The Apache might have the most comfortable handle out of any knife I’ve owned. Great job Brian! E7FFA96B-D1C8-4648-A85F-059B8B09026D.jpeg

I am curious if anyone has the weight of one of Brian's models in .07 thick steel. One of the new Compadre's potentially?

The M1 is a feather/curl making fool ! and the spine is crazy sharp too making scraping super easy. I must confess, I never did get this to light....after 3 consecutive days of thunderstorms everything was soaked and damp even in the center

this 7 LB blue cat was no match either, I would not have guessed how well this knife would have worked for filleting these catfish..... I think there's another market @Sargent could tap in to !!!!
