M1 along the Appalachian trail in the Michaux Pa state forest!
Always got to one up a fella huh...haha
That shaman tho...
I feel very fortunate to have had some great members here send me these amazing tools. Definitely have to thank @rb40 for sending me this awesome patch as well!
From left to right:
SETLore, M3, M1, M3C, PSK
Sweet set of SET's !!!! bravo sir
After those great pics of yours, the M1 and Woodset buys were an easy decision!
Thank you !
You killing me with the m3c looks like such a great pattern!! Hit me up if you ever decide to sell or trade
Fallbrook / SET again...
Perfect lines on that one.
You would trip out how I came up with the pattern. It looks like several other knives and every day I notice more. The back is a mora companion, palm swell from an m3, belly is almost exactly sharp finger rotated to 3/4 blade height, spot right in front of the forefinger at the plunge is badger claw hunter.
Looks like Apache II? I see a bunch of new lines. Blade, nearly a spear point with a little more drop? Handle looks uber comfy and should provide a nice lock up.
Not sure if this link will work, but this is too cool not to share!
Part of me wants to see Brian's idea of a butchers knife....
Oh and my CF Compadre is arriving tomorrow right before Memorial Day!
When the wife leaves for the week and the leftovers run out, what’s a man to do?
@ARPILOT the M1 makes squirrel cleaning easy as well. Still have to test this fillet knife out on some fish...
Squirrel! It's what's for dinner!
A generous member allowed me to take this SETLore off his hands recently, and I knew I needed an equally as awesome fire steel to complete it.
@Kyle363 sent me this pinecone beauty today, and I couldn’t be more pleased.
Cutting into squirrel legs, head, and pelvis actually caused a few little rolls in the edge of the M1, but a few swipes on the Gossman GST, and it’s back to perfect and hair popping sharp.
If you don’t have one of these, you need to get one! Thankfully @S.Gossman is keeping these in stock or close by all the time now.
Looks great man. Thanks for the plug!
Well, I cannot seem to put my new CF Compadre down long enough to take pictures yet!
EDIT: it may have to stay home while I go shopping today.
Here we go!
Incredible piece! Simply melts into my hand.
@M.Hatfield That thing looks even better outside! Congrats on one sweet knife!
Looks great out in the wild I'm glad you like it!!
Been messing with the sheath a bit. Trying to make it my own, so to speak.
Is there a place to see mods/changes people have made to their back sewn sheaths?
@M.Hatfield This is my M3C with a modded sheath, done by @Angelgutter for belt carry. Carries like a dangler.
I'm going to check through my supplies and see if I can rig something up.
That place looks incredible! Great fish and knife to boot!
Apache, Bad Boy, CTS-204P
M1 Spear Point.
@Buckhenry That exposed tang/pommel is just sweet!
Thanks,All around very solid blade.
The M1 is going to get dirty today !
Hmmm.... Looks pretty clean to me.. We will need pictures of dirtiness, to confirm this!!
Daaaaaaaang a carbon fiber M1 AND a shaman? Very nice
@Blackhawk60 here you go bud....
Yes!!! And catfish to boot!!
Probably easier ways to pull a butt off the grill, but the M1 was at hand.
Might have to post a small video trying to capture the light on these carbon fiber scales.....
And the log which I plan to remove (by using my Compadre of course! ) on a later trip.....
Helped build the base if this split wood fire

Hey...that squirrel cooked up real nice.
Oh and I weighed my little Compadre and it was actually a bit heavier then I expected.
At about 4.3 ounces out of the sheath it FEELS much light than that. The balance point that Brian @Sargent has on these is dialed in to make the blade feel weightless.
If you see above, the balance point is right behind the first Loveless bolt. Right where my middle finger naturally lands.
I will have to post some more detailed pictures but DANG can a knife get anymore dialed in?
Today’s SET Mail Call!
Polished & Shamanized Micarta.
Is that a Compact Model 3?
Yes sir! Finally got me one!
Congrats! I too am after my next SET already. It is a bit of a rare bird.
Patience is key however.
Crappy Photo! But my extended middle finger is where the balance point is. Please don't take offense at the finger.
