i lost my camera a while back, again. i've been using this little knife a lot lately, but have nothing to show for it except these two shitty photos.

neat discovery the other week, my matilija and my gossman unk are nearly identical in size. interchangeable sheaths!

I like that sheath, looks beefy but still compact.

Well, I have no SETs yet to post but I have been after Brian's work for awhile. I kept missing them here, Bladeforums, Instagram, everywhere. I was always late to the party.

But, today... TODAY it was as if the Angels themselves descended from the heavens to sprinkle me with love dust... lol

Seriously, I end my day with THREE Sargent blades headed my way: A new Puukko in Rio Rojo in trade, an M3BS in natural micarta purchased from bowitis' mega-SET-sale on the Supporter's Trade Blanket... and the piece de resistance, a new Matilija direct from Brian himself.

Today was a very good day thanks to some wonderfully kind folks, Brian, and BCUSA.

Cute little brook trout caught with a royal coachman. Unfortunately for me, I didn't have a way to cook him or transport him. Unfortunately for him, park rules dictate he be dispatched with extreme prejudice because he's a non-native species. He wasn't very impressed with my M1 primative.

Congratulations @WoodSquatch. I was in the same boat for quite a while. But the after being sprinkled with more than my share of pixie dust, I've been blessed with a wonderful collection as well.

Thanks gents. When Brian posted those last sale knives on Instagram, I knew I wanted the Matilija immediately... such an ideal size. Can't wait! As for the Ulti-Clip, I have been waiting to find a knife maker who understood Kydex sheaths--when married to the right retention system--do not have to be uncomfortable, bulky, or complicated for the wearer. So many Kydex sheath makers get this wrong and most commercial clip options are better suited for longer term, semi-permanent attachment. From what I've heard and seen, Brian seems to have found the right formula with his form-follows-function designs and the Ulti-Clip.

Good day, everyone. Well, yesterday was interesting to say the least, but I wanted to post a pic of the first 2 of my now 4 SETs arriving this week. Sorry the pic isn't an action shot or composed well, however, shortly after I received these yesterday, I had to get rushed to the ER. Turns out I have a bilateral kidney infection and kidney stones. Didn't get home until about 2 A.M. Excruciating pain... and I have been shot once, stabbed twice, and have had 7 back surgeries. This pain ranks up there pretty high and I wouldn't wish it on anyone. So, now I'm home being lazy with some helpful meds, but won't be too active until these damn stones pass.

Here are these wonderful knives: The Puukko acquired in a superb trade with @Ance and the M3BS an easy purchase with @bowitis . Two wonderful guys to deal with. Love these knives... I'm especially liking this straight-handled Puukko.

Have a great day, folks! ~ Rob

Collected some Cherry bark today with my Matilija.
Hoping to use it for a project soon.

We cut down a cherry tree recently, that was in between our property and our neighbors.

No fun, glad you are ok. Reminded me of a story. Hunting show where a guy went on a hunt of a life time. Middle of nowhere Canada I think. Float plane took them in, no way out. He started passing a stone. He was pinned in a bunk for days while they filmed him for the show laughing at him.

They were too far off for my lenses. They look like brown specs. We were in an area called Tom Minor Basin, known for grizzly activity. There where a number of bear watchers with high powered spotting scopes set up. We counted 5 bears in about a one square mile area.

Tom Miner is loaded with grizzlies :); if you saw bears I would put the odds highly as being grizzlies- where you have dense grizzly populations, black bear populations are usually very slim
