USPS has done it again. Bought an m1p from a member and usps says it was ‘delivered’ only not to me. They can’t find it. Checks with neighbors and no go. It was insured but no idea if they’ll cover it since they say it was delivered. Totally bummed. I’m waiting on a couple from Brian so maybe that will ease the loss. Either way I’m out a bunch of hard earned Benjamin’s.

I believe it’s an M-1 with the squared scales in S35VN. Excels at everything I have done with it.

Challenge this issue by speaking with the local Post Master. Provide all of your documentation, screen shot/print sale thread, PMs and PayPal payment, USPS tracking number, etc... build your case and put the onus on them as mentioned. Hard situation to stomach and I can emphasis with you friend...

Also they will try to delay you past the deadline for filing a grievance. Do not let them push you past that deadline.

From usps: This claim falls outside the acceptable time limit to file a claim for Insured Mail including Priority Mail™ of 15 - 60 days. You may continue with this claim, but it may be rejected.

I'm gathering all my info now, printing receipts and documents....I'm calling it a collectors item since it is one of a kind work of art that I would hand down to my kids (if I had them). USPS is definitely the cheapest shipping option but not always the best. When it works it works but when it doesnt this happens. Claims are not easy. It had to be an M1 primitive that was really different!

On a side note after i get my knives from Brian I'm going on a mass selloff and I'll have to choose some keepers. Hate to do it but need the funds. Girfriend and I are going to finally leave the big city. Construction under our apartment is the catylst. Gonna need a car.

@Wandy if there is anything I can do to help let me know. I can send you the original reciept or a copy. Always heard bad things bout usps but personally had more issues with ups. Should have added signature confirmation. As the seller I can confirm the collectors item part to them.

We’ve been on both sides with personal sales and as a retailer. All carriers have their issues, unfortunately it’s passed back to the customer (buyer and seller) to eat the cost or mitigate the issue. You guys are taking the right position on creating your case, file your claim and speak with the local post master to hold them accountable for their negligence.

I am going to the PO shortly to make them confirm the address it was delivered to. The tracking and the reciept only have the city and zip.

It is for sure gone...both me and the seller went to PO and neither of them could trace it. I got a letter to the effect saying they could not trace it. Now I have to gather all docs and submit a claim. What a bummer. Hopefully the money will be reimbursed but someone got a special knife. I don't have pics as the sale occurred with the server change but it was real nice.

image.jpg image.jpg Without using exclamation points. My buzzer just rang. A lady with a British accents asks for me. (Ugh another Verizon, spectrum, etc trying to sell me something. ) How can I help you? I live at 733 and a package has been sitting in the lobby that I think is for you. Hmmmmm. I’m buzzing you in. A lovely young lady hands me a package and I race upstairs. (Fool, if I was single I would ask her out for a drink but ie was more interested in the package. And whaddya know...miracles and good deeds really do happen.

It was addressed correctly but delivered incorrectly. The highs and lows.

Plus a surprise bonus as seen in the photos. That is one cool spoon and one cool knife.
