    TAH, if I could just have one knife it would be that model 5. Beautiful knife and a great all around knife.

    My only Randall was picked up at the Kittery Trading Post in Maine a few years ago on a bear hunt. I have a weakness for stag handled knives.

    I'm considering a smaller blade stock like yours. That size would be compact and handy.

    I am down to one Randall knife the #3-5 with stacked leather and aluminum butt cap and brass finger guard.
    It is still a safe queen and has not been in the field yet.
    I am undecided whether to go ahead and use it or sell it while it is still a virgin. I have a Morseth that I carried in the military and Coast Guard that is in the safe too along with a couple of Ruanas made by Rudy himself.All together I bet I have a couple of dozen hand made knives and some of the makers have passed on so the knives are not easily replaced. If I lost one it would be a pretty big loss.
    Most of the time I use a Mora HD or a Puukko these days, if I lose one of those I can replace them at little cost

    Always wanted a Model 14 in stainless with a black Micarta Border Patrol grip and single nickel silver guard...

    Was at an auction one day and this came up for sale... It has a narrow tang and had someones initials engraved on the guard but it was very reasonably priced so I bought it...

    upload_2018-3-4_14-47-34.jpeg

    Had been lightly used so it was perfect to take out and use...

    Happened across this one day...would buy it in a hearbeat...wish it was full tang however...

    * Randall Model #12-9', #14 grind
    * Bowie blade with the 'Attack' model look!
    * Hand-forged from stainless steel 1/4' stock
    * 9 inch blade length (largest made in stainless)
    * Thumb notches
    * Brass single hilt
    * Black micarta handle
    * Border patrol handle shaping
    * All black spacers for that 'stealth' look!
    * Wrist thong
    * Upgraded Model 'C' sheath (Black)

    Did notice where Blackjack Knives makes a 9" version of their Model 14..that could be the way to go...

    ...we can dream....Bob

    Model 10-3 saltwater fisherman & household utility knife.
    I had this for a couple weeks, catch and release and I regret it.

    It is a perfect EDC knife...

    I bought this from someone here on the forum...can't remember who, it's a Randall Model #1-6" APFK. Thing about it is they ordered this from the Randall shop with these 'option's' to make a Bushcraft or camp knife...

    *Stainless Steel 6" Blade
    *Thumb Notches
    *Wrist Lanyard
    *Saw Teeth
    *Single Hilt

    I cannot post a pic yet. I just placed an order for the 25-5 trapper. Maybe in 5 years I will be able to post the pic. Lol. But from I have heard and read it will be worth the long wait to get it.

    I looked at several dealers but could never find the exact one I wanted. So i went ahead and went with a factory order. Plus it is getting a sentimental engraving on it.

    Thanks, it is my go to blade during hunting season. I'm not sure what year it was made but it has the rough back sheath. I picked it up on the secondary market with signs of light use so I had no hesitation using it.

    Cheaper and not a dime over MSRP, Gary Clinton at Clinton Knives and Wayne Buxton and sons at Buxton Knives, both on net, and both will place an order and you get your knife in 6-8mths depending on Randall current backlog crisis, turnover of talented help, and problems that causes I detailed elsewhere...

    But Clinton and Buxton looong time family dealers on 2nd Gen....both have great very own exclusives, and a favorite is the Buxton Fighter.

    My Dad bought a second hand Randall #1, 8" for me in 1993, right after I got back from Somalia. To shorten the story, it was a stainless version made in the 80's and after a few years of use it snapped. I was not abusing it and have no idea if the guy before me did, anyway I contacted Randall just to let them know. I really didn't expect anything because it was a pre-owned blade, anyway I talked to Bo's son and he said to send it in. I did and he offered me a brand new one because he felt the steel was faulty....two months later I had a brand new one in O1!!! Unbelievable customer service and a great guy to talk to.

    This is my dream Randall, lamenting the fact I’d have to order it from them, seeing as I can’t find the single guard with teeth anywhere. Also love the stanaback with mod 2 handle!
