Red Flannel Hash Who likes it?

    IMG_3077.JPG Tomorrow is St.Patrick Day and some thing My Family Loves is Red Flannel Hash.
    3 cups corn Beef ( more if you have left over.
    • 2 cups boiled, diced potatoes
    • 1 cup cooked, diced beets
    • 3 tablespoons butter
    • 1/4 cup milk
    • salt and pepper, to taste
    Instructions
    Mix together beef, potatoes, and beets. Sprinkle with salt and pepper. Melt butter in skillet, add hash and milk, and cook over low heat until one side is brown. Turn and brown the other side. Serve with eggs and toast, plus lots of hot coffee.

    Not big on beets but sounds good. How much brisket do you use in the recipe?

    No beef in your ingredients list but referenced in the directions? This reminds me of some of my wife's grandmother's recipes. Mainly because she tended to leave the primary ingredient off of the list as well. :p

    Sounds good. I actually like beets but haven't had them in probably 20 years or more. Guessing my wife doesnt like them since she never makes them and I just sort of forgot they even existed, lol.

    This sounds better than it would have last year. My sister was staying with us and used beets in a salad or some such. I tried it. I liked it.

    Oh, but you got to have beets for the RED flannel part. None of the amounts need to be measured because it's just a dish to get rid of any previous left overs,

    I don't know what left over corn beef is. Made 20lbs of it for Saturday none left when everyone left the table.

    Made some for lunch. Instead of beets I used all red and regular white potatoes
