If you buy this model you’re buying for the peep sight. I think a scope ruins it’s compact profile.

When I read "Man's best Friend" I always think a dog--not the best thing to equate your product with :)

If you get rifle this drop me a PM please.

I like this model. I have looked at it earlier. But. The $200 I have at the moment is earmarked for one of my other obsessions :) . A mower deck for my Gravely walking tractor :D

...yeah...maybe I’ll hold off on the scope for a bit and just see how I like the sights...

Thompson Center has a 10/22 clone with rail and peep sights, but it has last shot hold open feature, in a magpul stock. Most of its parts are compatible with Ruger 10/22 including magazines.

If I was shopping for new 10/22 I’d definitely consider the TC version.

Outside of a dog, a book is man's best friend.

Inside of a dog, it's too dark to read.

Going back to LGS tomorrow. In the rack is a 10-22 sporter, walnut stock. It has a rail on it and great shape. Asking 240 for it, so I will see what I can get it for.

I had a CZ 513 basic sitting around so I took it in for the 10-22 sporter. I gave the CZ and 40 bucks for the Ruger. When I got the CZ I paid 175.00 new.

Nice. I love my 10/22. My most grabbed rifle when I hit the woods.

Very similar setup to the one in the OP but with a regular stock. I have that stock on my RAR and I really like it.

I thought I would like the RAR more but I dont. It's mainly the scope. I'd much prefer a peep. I tried a Williams and it just wont stay in one spot (the base, bad design)
