Yeah, that's the price an ENO hammock is worth. Good buy at that price.

Yea, I was thinking the original price was way too steep. Even Amazon's price is still a bit steep considering you can get a dutchware for $40ish.

However, hard to beat $24 unless you're buying off brand China made hammocks, so I thought it was a good price for the name brand. Eno hammocks might be manufactured in China for all I know, but it's a reputable brand I guess.

Nice deal but with the REI boycott going on I am not sure if this is a sale on their part or they're just hurting now because of the boycott. Which is sad because I have shopped at the Houston REI store since it opened years ago. But they want to play politics.

For those who do not know REI is just one company who is no longer carrying camelbak products because they are owned by Vista Outdoors and Vista Outdoors also owns Savage Arms which makes AR assault rifles.

Many of the articles I have read say if the consumers want to boycott someone then let them, it is not for the store to say what products you can and cannot buy. Take a look at the fact that a lot of people stopped watching football last year. People are sick and tired of politics.

This is a good article by Out Door Life about how this type of issue creates a devide between the many different groups of out doors people. It reminds me of how the farmer and the cow hand should get along, if you catch my meaning.

Thanks for the article! I did not know what sort of dumb things REI has been up to. Their prices are so high these days I rarely shop there as even the sales don't knock enough off of the price. They are no longer the co-op I joined so long ago.
