It is time to officially begin the call & discussion for a Spring meet for the SC Bushcrafters.

April 12-13-14? Sumter National Forest? There is a good parking area at the Jones Lake Complex which offers access to the Palmetto Trail. I hiked part of it this weekend and it offers a lot of diversity--from pine ridges to hardwood bottom lands.

Dispersed camping is allowed with a free permit from the Forest Service. I will look into the details of this.

Sedalia Lake is shown on this map at Mile 33 on the Enoree Passage of the Palmetto Trail (nearest city is Union):

I am open to other suggestions but I would like to get a date set for an event.
