Prayers for you, your family, extended family, and you again for some peace and wisdom to handle what you can - and throw your hands and heart up for the things you think you can't.

I'm just coming across this. I would have chimed in had I been aware. Know that you have the thoughts, prayers and well wishes from many who view and hold you as a sister.

Blame is easiest carried on some one else's shoulders. Those that lash out at these times will fixate short comings and failures of their own nature and point a finger.

    Hey there..

I'm so sorry that you lost your grandma. I didn't read every post, but I hope that you did have some quiet "drama free" time with her to yourself.

I imagine things are not better yet, as you're having to deal with loss on top of your other tugging priorities. I can only give you a virtual hug and send good vibes your way..

    Thank you everyone.

Today I buried my Grandma and the past 96 hours have been trying to say the least but there has some bright linings to these cloud of rain. For starters pop is still in the hospital, they believe he over heated, got dizzy, and had a panic attack as every tested came back as normal. But when they told him they will release him over to rehab because his mobility decreased significantly since Friday he conceded to having a physical therapist and a personal nurse come in to the home to help him.I have been begging him to allow a nurse to come in for even an hour a week ( to give me a break) and he has always refused but now it is getting set up. With my Grandma at the viewing I had family that I have seen over the years and for the 1st time when I said hi they responded with hi,hugs, and OMG we haven't seen you in 20 years. I bit my tongue and didn't mentioned that I had seen them over the past 20 years some as recently as last year but they have always been quick to turn their back and ignore me. What is more shocking is that they were up to date on what has been going on in my kids life as they said my grandma loved to brag about my kids and all they are accomplishing.

The burial of my Grandma went smoothly but I did not have the strength to visit with my son who I lost due to miscarriage 19 years ago. He is buried in an unmarked grave and my oldest asked to visit his grave before she heads off to college. I thought I had the strength but I still do not. I have not been to visit him since I lost him 19 years ago.

My goal for this week is to sit with Pop until he is released(should be tomorrow) and then sleep until the weekend.

Family is... well family. As we grow older I find in my own life sometimes things bring us closer, other things seem to push us apart.
No time limits apply when we are grieving, take care of yourself and those around you.

@MommaJ , hope things are calming down for you. Such a trying time to have to go through, but also such an important part of life. It is a time like this that helps us to realize what is truly important in life.

The family thing, and them not liking you? Don't sweat it. I have walked down that road. In my opinion, you are better off without them. Life is way too short to have something like that be a part of it. Take care of your dad, yourself and your family, and all will work out. :)

    Finally something positive.

Home services came bu today for pop and they will come twice a week to check his vitals and as his need for care increases they will increase services automatically.

Plus they are setting him up with home physical therapy with instructions for me on how to help him but not hurt myself in the process.

Lastly he is only to go to the hospital for certain reasons any other issues I am to call them to come here and evaluate him. Which is great as this is the 2nd issue in 2 months and after the 1st Ray's family lambasted me for not taking him to the er. The goal is to keep him out of the hospital.
