So church was cancelled due to heavy snowfall this morning, so we spent the day at home. I figured since I had the time, I’d grab my miscellaneous un-purposed fire kit supplies and put some useful kits together. I also took the time to restock supplies from kits I’d used recently.

This second pic is of my flint-and-steel kits, or kits that incorporate flint and steels. Each tin has charcloth in the bottom. Left to right, the tins are 1.) and antique Zippo lighter tin, 2.) Hudson Bay tobacco tin, 3.) Scho-ka-kola tin.

Thanks guys! I had as much fun building them as you’d expect. Not all of them have the same contents, but you should be able to start a fire with any of them!

Yup, done the same thing and have a few of them for various day bags. Keeps the mind sharp on a cruddy winter day. Young outdoorsy peeps should try this at home too. Quite enjoyable and satisfying, to know you'll never wind up dead and frozen. Thanks for sharing your cool kits buddy. :) lb
