In the morning Mrs. Mango is going to shuttle me up to Bull Shoals dam on the White River where I'm putting in for a solo float trip. Not sure how far it is, but it really doesn't matter. Probably about 6 or 7 miles is what I'm thinking. I'll end up at my backyard when it's over. I plan on fishing all along the way, catch and release as I have my Ramen noodles that I'm planning on cooking for lunch. However, I may cook a fish also. I'm already packed and all I have to do is load the boat. I took pics already of what I'm carrying with me and will take more of the trip and post tomorrow when I finish. Really looking forward to this mental therapy.

6:50 am, having coffee and waiting for Mrs. Mango to roll out then we're off. I will probably get to the dam before the fog lifts so am taking the makings for more coffee while I wait it out. First solo kayak trip so I'm pretty excited.

The trip was really great. Had a good time, caught one nice cutthroat trout and probably could have caught plenty more, but was just enjoying the trip. Here are a couple of pics of my main "load-out" for the trip. We have very poor cyber service here and these are the only two pics that have come through so far. Curious what is in the little gray plastic bottle? Looks like a stihl oil bottle from this angle. I use those to carry alcohol for my stove.

I like that I'm not the only one who uses a crown bag to store my stove lol

The little bottle is filled with Heet and is setting on my Lixada stove in the black bag. It is for back up and the Heet is for starting fluid. That stuff is great.

My phone is acting up when it comes to sending pics so I'll post what I have. This is first pic after I took off. Fog still on the river, just beautiful. IMG_1553 (2).JPG Then there was this little lady checking this old fat man out. IMG_1564 (1).jpg You know, we are so lucky to be able to see things such as this. I have a few more lunch pics when they come through.
