I'm ready for a trip but my trips are over until it gets cold again. I can't deal with the heat and humidity, wish I could. :4:

Hey to all in SC. I posted a new thread on the SC board guys just so everyone is aware... Thinking about a meet in the springtime before it gets too hot. Noticed it's getting a few views but no responses.

Hi guys, and thanks for posting. Yea, this is kinda a quiet group, but it may be time to try and plan something. The bugs are gone, the super cold weather isnt anywhere near. Its time to get out and get bushy!

Sumter NF is nice this time of year... (hint hint)

Im thinking early-mid november? SC Dave, there is always SandHills state forest... I havent been there, but it seems nice, and is apparently pretty open to primitive camping trailside.

Sumter is a little closer for us midlanders (actually both are the same drive for me), but whatever gets the most of us out, is a winner in my book.

I have been to Sandhills SF many times and I love it there but what ever is best for the majority is ok by me.

I doubt I could swing sandhills. I might be able too but it'd be hard. Sumpter National Forrest would be far more doable for me. Ill post my available dates sometime today. I think we could coordinate more people if everyone posted their availability and someone compiled it. I know im not available the weekend of halloween or the weekend of Nov 5th. Beyond that ill have to look.

I'm in part of SNF now. In my area I'm not sure they allow fires anywhere other than regulated campgrounds but I will check. If you guys want to try something in November I may be able to do it with enough notice. If in the spring I'd vote for march 15- April 15 or somewhere there abouts. I will be compiling info for Sumter forest areas. Would someone else be interested in gaining info for another area?

The weekend of November 19th-20th may be good for me. I'm off that Sunday I'd just have to use a vacation day for that Saturday.
