    Right???
Hi all my regional friends here! How is everyone doing? I just thought I'd start a thread to catch up a bit on those whoe are "local" to NJ.
Anyone have bushcraft plans coming up? What's keeping y'all busy otherwise?

I admit I am a total cold weather WIMP, so I've been in "bushcraft hibernation" among other "life" SHTUFF getting in the way. I have been reading some posts here in the community again and am inspired to start exercising my bushcraft muscles again :)

Anyone been doing day trips? Favorite areas?

Take care and get ready.. spring's a comin'!

    Hiya Joe!
    Nice to see you too!
Can you send some SC temperatures up north please? My husband and I vacationed in Charleston just before Christmas. We had a great time and the temperatures were just sooo nice compared to NJ!

I might be camping during spring break, I'm definitely gonna test my two person tent I got for Christmas, but if the weather is decent enough I might sleep out at the cave as well.

Well my original reply was lost since webpage crashed, so short and sweet, "the cave" is an overhang I found back in the bush around 2 miles away with a creek running through it that is full of frogs and crayfish (trash pandas love those, but that's a story for another time), it's a neat place that I've camp out at a few times.

Yep Raccoons, I was stump shooting with my dad by the same creek by the cave just upstream by my house when we were walking and a raccoon rushed us making all kinds of noises and hissing, we kept our bows drawn just in case but it went around us down to the stream, 5 minutes later it comes by it again with a crayfish in it's mouth and goes to feed it to her young. For such a small animal we can say we were shocked from that, not as bad as the coyotes or bears, but up there.
