who is ready to get out on some day/ overnight trips? I know there are a lot that do not like to go out in the severe heat like I do for a lot of reasons, but it appears to be breaking. I usually have bonfires when it's 90 degrees even hahah. The wife yells at me all the time for it. But who's planning something for the upcoming months?

I'm ready going on a 3 day backpacking trip later next month, It's been a rough summer down here. Looking forward to it getting cooler I have a harder time with the heat than I used to, so I really enjoy the fall, winter and spring.

Ahhh indeed!!! I enjoy the heat and the humidity quite a lot. I know that the mosquitos have been biting quite a bit around here and even me, which is rather unusual.

Nonetheless, where you heading to on your trip? Anywhere exciting? I hope to be able to get out at some point and do at least two overnighters.

Early September we are heading to Utah to do the Jeep trails for a week or so. Start at Escalante UT and make our way through all the BLM roads and then make our way through the National Parks in Southern Utah. Really don't know what the weather will be like, but I am sure all will be good.

Man, I,can't wait for it to cool off. My son and I scout and they camp at least once a month. My usual deer hunting place is not a sure thing this year so we will have to see what happens.

The cold is the one thing that I hate anymore. I don't care if it's 100 degrees, I can camp and have a bonfire lol. I tried to get the Mrs to go with me one year when she was pregnant with our daughter Danica. Hahahahah guess how that ended up?

I bet that trip with your pregnant wife was full of sunshine and roses! :18:

i believe i was created to live in alaska, but born in the wrong state. i just wear a tshirt and a fleece pullover til it drops below 30, then it tshirt and carhart. many a morning when i was a dairy farmer, in the heated milkhouse the thermometer would register around 30, even with the propane heater and 110 hot dairy cows standing around. i would wear a poly thermal layer, my carhart suspenders, and a thsirt/cotton hoody/BDU upper layer. i love cold weather :)

Ummmm, let's just say I didn't even go camping hahaha

Now I will say one thing, I've always wanted to go and hike and explore Alaska. I've always been in love with that state

Out last weekend. Hot Fri and Sat - until is poured Sat early evening - washed out nearby state highway bridge. Sunday was PERFECT, and it's been nice since.
