I know the earlier versions of this were popular with bushcrafters for a while as a lightweight anorak. Because they are a little off white, they dye easily.

I bought the newer version, which is essentially the same, but with a full button front from a member about a year ago. I modified it with bone and wood buttons. And will add some trim to it, similar to this.

This comes with with the pants too for $40 plus shipping.

Nicely done. I picked up two of these full button front versions a while back as I bet they will soon be rare as the anorak types.

Toggles are sharp as is the decorative trim and ruff. What fur did you use for the hood, and is it sewn on or removable?

The above picture is not mine, but is the style I am shooting for. I believe this belongs to a Swedish bushcrafter who goes by Bowdrillaz. His kits are featured all over the web, he has a great instagram!

Sorry for not making that clearer.

I found one of these for $5 Canadian in Budapest. Was way too baggy for me though so I didn't grab it :p (But I brought home like 5 different military smocks)

These are meant to be baggy...the baggies the better. Should be like a tent with sleeves.

Yea I knew they were supposed to be baggy, and I like my baggy stuff! But it was too much bagginess for me.

I bought a swedish snow smock a couple of monts ago, haven´t used it yet. Made a minor modification = cut a couple of small holes to get the waist cinch band on the outside.
This one also has the crotch band, or what ever it is called, for connecting backside of hem to frontside preventing flapping in the wind.

Crotchbands and tent sleeves so if you fart you’ll blow up like that girl on Willy Wonka.

I'm bumping this back up to the top of the deals section for two reasons:

    1. It's a good deal
    2. @highlander made me spit coffee all over my phone

Whats the sizing look like? I see M/L as the largest available and not how they fit. I generally where XL in most things and in order to keep this baggy, I'm thinking I may be out of luck.

It says they run a size or two bigger, since they are made to fit over layers and gear. So you would be good.

If you order from varusteleka it ends up being about $20 cheaper shipped.

Ah so that's why they all sold out. I was eyeing up the last one on varusteleka to use for my bush job.. Kinda glad someone nabbed it. I would've bought a bunch more things as well.
