    Hey everyone,

I have been assigned to do boiler and pressure vessel inspections in Minnesota for the next 3 months.

I am looking for things to do, people to meet or places to see during my off-time.

I plan on going to Duluth this weekend to check out the Frost River store.

I am staying in Cambridge for the time-being, but don't mind doing a little driving.

I will also be back in Columbus, OH from the 5th-15th of Sept my only day off will likely be Sun the 10th.

I will be in Ann Arbor, MI for a week long school toward the end of Oct.

Let me know if anyone would like to meet or something.

    Thanks!

If you're hanging out in Duluth for awhile Canal Park is kinda cool. You can check the shipping schedule and watch a ship enter or exit the harbor. You end up standing only a few feet away from them.
Duluth Pack has a store down there too.
Enger Park offers a great view of the area from Enger Tower, up on the bluff over the lake.
Jay Cooke state park is really pretty too, looks like it might get a little loaded with tourists at times. But the rock formations in the river were damn cool.
Lots of public land and hiking trails as you head up the north shore too.

If you like local history and architecture, check out the Glensheen Estate, in Duluth -> http://glensheen.org/

Canal Park Brewing, Bent Paddle, and Fitger's all make tasty beer.

Northern Waters Smoke Haus for smoked meats and cheese, and Duluth Grill for from-scratch meals.

Don't forget the Superior Hiking Trail if you want to go for a stroll!

Four Dog Stove Co. is in St. Francis. If it were me I wouldn't want to take up a lot of their time but I'd sure like to meet Don Kevilus and crew so as to thank them not only for their great gear but for the videos they've put out over the years.

Oh yeah, one more thing. When I was working in Minneapolis someone recommended I check out Minnehaha Falls. I didn't make it over there but maybe someone on here knows if it is worth checking out?
