A box arrived to my house today that I was not expecting and I want to thank @gohammergo for his kindness.

I love love love chaga, only problem,we don’t have birch trees where I live.

John graciously and unsolicited sent this box full of chaga and birch bark!

What a guy and thoughtful gift!

Very nice of him. Now you can build your own birch trees. ;)

Lets see some fire or tea.

What is Chaga, and what does it do? Looks to be a fire starting material? There's no Birch around me. From the pic posted, it looks like a tinder material?

It's also called tinder fungus and takes a spark from flint and steel very easily and makes an excellent coal extender.

It can also be used to make tea and likely has other uses as well.
