Online deals are so much better than brick and mortar stores, but there's a hazard in ordering too much stuff online. This is why. My wife texted this to me today. She jests, of course... I think.

Send it to your work address if possible, do you have a cot there?

I usually do so our receptionist can sign for it, but I must have forgot to change the autofill. The funny thing is, the delivery guy probably hates carrying cases of ammo more than my wife hates receiving them. ;)

If your orders come through UPS, you can create a free account, and then can change delivery days, or have your package held for pick-up at a UPS location. It's quite convenient when you are receiving packages you need to sign for

Yep. Same with my wife. She even watches out for good deals for me. :D

On the other hand, the mail lady probably wants to murder me after the last order of 3000 9mm projectiles... *oops, my bad!* :p

My wife helps me scout for ammo & what prices are in town so I can compare online. Used to be we didn't have to pay taxes online, so only had to factor in shipping for online purchases vs. local, now have to look at paying tax AND shipping online. At least locally I can pay cash & not have to worry about big brother having a record of the transaction. I still buy a lot online cause I'm able to find deals on ammo, especially stuff places like wal-mart don't usually sell. My EDC ammo is Hornady Critical Duty, which I can order online for about $.50/rnd vs paying $1+ locally. Even with shipping I'm still getting it MUCH cheaper than buying it locally. Probably the biggest danger I was in from ordering online was when I placed an order through sportsmans guide for my dad & myself. They had 150 50BMG rounds in the links with ammo can for $110 (that should tell you how long ago it was) Also they had a deal on some 22LR ammo, so I bought 10K rounds of that, plus a few other odd & ends. Where I was living at the time had a STEEP driveway to get to the back door or up steep & shallow cement stairs to the front door. The UPS guys looked like he was going to blow a gasket. I'm guessing he wasn't a gun guy.

Why hide it? Not good for a marriage. My marriage is what I protect most. 35 years in about 5.5 weeks.

OK I'm reading this and I've come to realize i don't like any of you.....

I live the BIG nanny state of the United Kingdom, Our government doesn't allow us to own guns, but anyone over the age of 17.5 can own a car and they kill loads of people.

I'm so jealous, I'm pro Gun ownership, after all guns are just bits of metal, but there's something very satisfying about taping a picture of your ex wife to a water melon and unloading a 12 gauge in to it, totally over kill but very satisfying.

I don't like to shop. Started shopping on internet many years ago for my wife at christmas, have no kids. I know what she likes, know her size. So with confidence would order perfect present. Never happened! Can't shop for a woman. Still do it, but now am prepared to be disappointed when she is disappointed.

Sorry to hear that! No worries though. We are fast heading to that ourselves. Less and less people here participate in the shooting sports. Also too many Americans have no understanding of the 2nd amendment. They thinks it's to "shoot a deer"! As time goes people become more and more willing to give up their freedoms for supposed safety here. Call me a pessimist I guess!

My old lady would ask me if something was wrong with me if she did not see me ordering something gun related. If she sees that I had not ordered something she figures I am saving up for something big!

My wife would say, if you buy a gun, you sell a gun. Sometimes I did, sometimes I didn't.

My other half does not like it if I even suggest selling a firearm in order to get something else....always says, aww, your going to miss that one, or something to that effect. She's right. I once sold a Ruger Sr 22. Really missed it. Luckily, I was able to buy it back. No more selling or trading.
