    Lo' there do I see the line of my people....

    They are in need of steel.

    Bushcraft is why we are here. As such, I have felt directed to spur ACTION to our founding cause and to incite blatant celebration of such.
    This is another GAW. Everyone who wants to show some mettle is invited, I am ready to bequeath a sharp something (of my choosing) to one of the mortals who would dare "get back outside". All I ask is to post a photograph or a few of your current outdoor endeavors, big or small.

    The following are my stipulations;

    Make time to bathe in the outdoors;
    1) Post a photo of you and yours getting outside for any reason in this thread. I encourage you to bring family members along.

    2) Create a trip report and post the link to it here.
    In this report;
    A) Identify a natural resource in your current AO.
    B) Utilize said resource.
    C) Challenge a specific brethren of ours to do the same.

    3) Just have fun.

    Life often finds way to prevent us from doing the things we enjoy. I am guilty as much as the next. I ask you to be safe, explore your limits without smashing them to your detriment and get some.
    I SAID GET. SOME.

    You all are outstanding in your own way, show us that. "Not in's" for whatever reason are encouraged to take the plunge and pronounce "I AM IN!"

    Two weeks from right now.

    What say you?

    I should ignore them more. Maybe they’ll go away...

    **Opens up thread

    **Reads
    **Excitedly strips naked and grabs bar of soap.

    **Reads the rest of OP post.

    **Awkwardly gets dressed.

    In all seriousness. I have some family in town for the week and we are planning a trip tomorrow to a local lake with my boat and my Step-father's boat and as many people as we can safely fit. I will post up when we return.

    Great opening quote from a great movie! Can’t wait to watch it with my 11yo in a few years.

    Too busy to get lit this time of year.

    Wait, maybe that exactly when I do need to get out?

    Hmmm . . . I’ll be back.

    She loves it, but she demands each fish be bigger than the last...

    A flaw in the local fishery law means that bass and the pickerel I hooked are catch and release only... even thought that rule is for trout...

    Oh yeah. The weekend after the 9th was when I was going to try out the hammock I picked up at REI and fish in a stream that's supposed to be very healthy and pollution free. A rarity here.

    Hahahaha in all seriousness, I enjoyed a wonderful day today with my parents, my two kids, my neice and nephew and my sister. Out on a local lake. We even found time to enjoy a picnic lunch on one of the many islands. Here are a few highlights.

    I'm in!
    I couldn't get a picture of me bathing in nature for legal / forum rules type reasons. I was using cold Ohio creek water for heat management purposes today. I would encourage @CowboyJesus and @Redwing to beat the heat and take the plunge also. Few things feel better than a cold plunge after a hike in hot weather!

    Greetings,
    When you start a thread like that, I cannot help but respond and wanting to take part!

    Technical question:

    Does it have to be a new trip, or could it even be a very recent one, like less than two weeks past?

    Regards,

    Christos

    1) Post a photo of you and yours getting outside for any reason in this thread. I encourage you to bring family members along.

    Here is the photos of getting outside, even if it wasn't what I was originally going for at the beginning of the day:

    2019-07-26-21-23-56.jpg 2019-07-26-21-27-13.jpg

    2) Create a trip report and post the link to it here.

    Here is my trip report:

    https://bushcraftusa.com/forum/threads/false-start-overnighter.255955/

    In this report;
    A) Identify a natural resource in your current AO.

    Large redwood branches.

    B) Utilize said resource..

    Used to make a chair.

    C) Challenge a specific brethren of ours to do the same.

    I challenge @Teeps to make a fatwood chair :)

    3) Just have fun.

    Wasn't the fun I had planned but it was a bunch of fun today.

    Made it back out this (late) morning to fish but it was too hot or they didn't want what I was giving them. Bad day fishing is still a good day by the river.

    Another weekend project outside (in my backyard). Also realized I technically haven't said "I'm in"

    Worked on natural cordage for bushclass.
