First, if you haven't seen the Tracker Action Pics thread, click the link below. It's one of the best on the forum and there are countless example of ingenuity, determination, and skill honed through lots and lots of practice.

    https://bushcraftusa.com/forum/threads/tracker-action-pics-thread.67725/page-999999

Unfortunately, the thread lost a ton of awesome photos in the great Photobucket purge of 2017, so the link I included will take you to the last page, instead of the first one. You can work your way backward to see what current members are doing first, and then delve into the rich history of past Tracker madness.

    -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

We can't let those movie prop wielding weirdos ;) have all the fun, so I would like this to serve as a spot dedicated to all sharp tool action shots; in the spirit of the great example set by the Tracker Action Pics thread.

All blades are welcome. Knives, axes, saws, machetes, hatchets, kukris, shovels and sharpened spoons...the Tracker guys can even play here too if they want.

The only real rule is that photos posted here should be action shots. There are plenty of other places to post photos of pretty new knives stuck into a stump. This thread is for photos of wood begging for mercy, plants & animals being turned into food or useful items, big piles of practice, and dirty tools.

Outdoor photos are strongly encouraged. Not only do they come out looking better, but bushcraft skills are outdoor skills by definition. If you do something cool indoors, consider it a dry run until you can make time to do it again outside; and post those photos instead.

Feel free to make an introductory photo dump post with some of your favorite old sharp stuff action photos to begin with, but once this gets rolling I hope to see people posting new stuff here too.

I want to make this thread all inclusive, but there are also several other ongoing "action" threads going that you can consider posting in. I don't mind double posts here if you want to post in these as well.

Great idea for a thread, @NWPrimate!

I'll start with my Camillis Les Stroud Arctic, a knife that lives in obscurity. Nobody seems to love or hate it, and I've never seen anyone else use it, including Les and his son. I've forgotten all about it since shortly after we brought it home a few years ago. I've made feather sticks and shavings with it, and batoned it to make kindling, but only a few times. The handle is a little thicker than I like, the blade is a bit thicker than I like, and frankly, the sheath is ugly. (Thanks to @PAcanis's observation, I actually like the look of the knife now.) @Broke convinced me to pull it off the shelf, blow the dust off, and start using it. I took it for it's maiden hike on the weekend.

For me, a one knife option has to be good for trail meal prep, so that's the first task I presented it. Smashing and slicing veggies for chicken noodle soup. I have to admit that I like it more today than I did before that hike.

No tool sharper than this dude, with the burnsides. Working with the spoke shave.

Even worked on it outside for better light. Local kids had lots of questions. I should follow up with a deer taken with it, and a knife skinning the deer:)

My little boys axe before I busted up this fatwood stump. Yes, all the bleached wood in this photo is fatwood.
    20170104_133246.jpg
After sawing off some larger roots, had to use the full sized Rixford to bust it in half.

At the least when dealing with really custom blades can yall put at lteast the maker and blade style? Some of these customs are sooo unique and ittl save space from everyone asking who made the blade anyway.
