I'm looking for a recommendation on a pouch to collect tinder and kindling. Many times I just put them in my 5 mil bin liner but this isn't convenient when my pack is still on or when my hands are occupied with other items.

For some items I tend to shove them in my pockets. Some items are too big.

My use case for this is birch bark, pine resin, smaller twigs, birds nest etc.

I would like it to attach to my belt. and rollup and stow when not in use.

I use a Maxpedition Rollypolly pouch. Got it for cheap at a garage sale.

I too use a OD Maxpedition Rollypolly bought used from our Trade Blanket. The Altoids Smalls tin works great for containing pine resin.
BadgerClaw has a couple leather and waxed canvas belt dump pouches too.

I use a Tad Gear pouch similar to the Rollypolly pouch. I also plan on making a large order from BadgerClaw too..... I hope to round out a belt kit at some point in the future.

So I guess the questions remaining are: do you like traditional materials like canvas? or modern Codura? And do you plan to just use this on your belt or is some sort of MOLLE/PALS system better for you?

Thanks to all! I ended up going with the RollyPolly pouch.

Some of the waxed canvas pouches by BadgerClaw also look attractive, but I went with the RollyPolly since it can also do double duty at the range.

    I appreciate all the suggestion.
